I have had a lot of issues with the nature of research, particularly around the experience of Black people at various intersections and our interactions with white people. I am particularly frustrated with the requirement that we "qualify" our discussions for the safety, comfort, and the authority of white people. If you are interested in conducting research from a Black perspective about the Black lived experience (historical or contemporary) let's connect. I have no research experience so this would be my first time writing to publish. A little about me: He/Him/His, Career Coach at a PWI that serve a large Black American population). I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and an MS in social foundations of education; I am in my second graduate program pursuing an MA in sociology. If you are interested in collaborating with me or would like to post your research interests, feel free to share your scholarly path!!! Hope to hear back from you all.
